What it is
What is OVRWire?
OVRWire is a website and Discord bot for running an NBA 2K league. A commissioner signs in with Discord, names the league, adds the teams and sends each team its link. Once the OVRWire bot is in the league's Discord server, players post the box-score screenshot in #box-scores the way they already do. OVRWire reads it and checks that the numbers add up. If a number doesn't, the player who posted it fixes it. In the regular season, once the poster checks it, it's final. Typed numbers go to the other team to confirm. Only final games count, and the standings, stats and game pages update on the league's own web address. Setup is free and private. Going live costs $20 per league-season, tax included, with no per-team fees, and the commissioner can refund it in the app within 7 days. OVRWire is independent and isn't affiliated with 2K, the NBA or Discord.
What it is
Built for the NBA 2K27 5v5 box score. It's a website made for phones, so there's nothing to download. Every league has its own web address, like ovrwire.com/night-owls-league. It doesn't connect to your 2K account. Results come from the box score your league posts.
Who it's for
OVRWire is built for 5v5 Pro-Am and crew leagues that run on Discord.
- Commissioners set up the league and send team links. Their workspace is the Front Office. They connect the league's Discord server. They settle disputes and corrections.
- Captains. A captain claims the team with its captain link. Captains confirm or dispute the other team's box score.
- Players join with their team's link and sign in with Discord once. Their gamertag, exactly as it shows in 2K, is their public name in the league. Their stats go on the league's pages once the league is live.
- Your rules. Pick Community for light rules or Competitive for stricter ones. Change available settings in the Front Office. Some choices lock when the league goes live or the season starts; others lock after play begins.
Everyone signs in with Discord, and everyone must be 18 or older.
How a game becomes final
1. Players post the box score
Players post the box-score screenshot in #box-scores, or in the game's thread, the way they already do. Once connected, OVRWire checks the chosen channel for new screenshots. Or type /submit and attach the screenshot, or right-click the message and choose Apps → Send to OVRWire. OVRWire reads the screenshot. The poster checks the numbers and sends them, and if OVRWire can't read one, anyone on the team can type the numbers in. On the website, open the game and choose Post box score. Enter and check the result manually. If your league requires a screenshot, attach it before sending. Console screenshots and phone photos of the TV both work, as long as the numbers are readable. Both go through the same checks.
2. OVRWire checks it
OVRWire checks the math on every box score: each player's points match their shots, makes never beat attempts, the players add up to the TOTAL row, and the quarters add up to the final. Two different AI models read each screenshot: one reads the whole box score, and a second one checks the totals and the score. They get the image and fixed instructions. No names, team names or messages are sent with it. Anything that doesn't add up is flagged, and the player who posted it fixes it before the other team sees it. The reader can make mistakes. It fills in the numbers; people confirm them.
3. The other team checks it
For typed numbers, the other team's captain or co-captain confirms the box score or taps Something's wrong before the deadline shown on the game. For a checked screenshot that's already final, they can ask for a review until the time shown. If that team has no captain with an account, any claimed player on its roster can. They can confirm on the website or with the buttons OVRWire sends in Discord. In the regular season, a clean read that its poster checked is final right away, unless a warning needs a look or your commissioner reviews every game. The other team can still ask the commissioner for a review until the time shown on the game, and the score counts while it's checked. In the playoffs, it becomes final at the deadline shown on the game if nobody disputes it. Numbers someone typed in or changed never become final through silence: the other team confirms them, or the commissioner reviews the game.
4. If something's wrong
Tap Something's wrong, say what doesn't match, and add your numbers. The team that posted it can accept them. If it doesn't, the commissioner rules. Every decision and correction goes in the league log with a reason. A corrected game keeps every version, each with its reason. A commissioner can't decide a review of their own team's game. A team that shows up can claim a forfeit when the game offers that action. Check its conditions and the deadline to say it's wrong. Your league's rules determine the timing. OVRWire never invents points for a forfeit. A no-show is a win and a loss with no score.
5. Only final games count
Only final games count. Standings, leaders, team pages and player pages update from them. Every final game says who agreed, for example "Final · Low Post Club confirmed" or "Final · Decided by the commissioner". Until a game is final, only league members see its numbers, and OVRWire's Discord posts show no numbers. A stat nobody recorded shows as "—", never 0.

What's included
Free while you set up
- Start a league in 2 steps: name it, choose how teams form and set the team count, then sign in with Discord and create it.
- You land on your setup checklist in the Front Office. Each item says Done, Needs you or Optional.
- Every team gets its own link. Send it to the team. Players open it, sign in with Discord and enter their gamertag.
- A captain link claims a team. It works once: whoever claims it first runs the team.
- The league link adds players to your available players list.
- Turn on applications to let people ask to join. You approve, waitlist or deny each one.
- Add a co-commissioner with their own link.
- If a player's gamertag is already in the league, OVRWire asks "Is this you?" so their games stay linked to them.
- Bring your teams and rosters free. Paste them from Google Sheets or Excel, or upload a CSV, check the preview, and undo the import if you need to.
Your Discord server
- Most leagues already have a server. Tap Add OVRWire to my server, approve it in Discord, check the plan, then tap Looks good.
- The plan reuses your channels and team roles and adds only what's missing. OVRWire never renames, moves, deletes or changes anything it didn't create.
- Not a server admin? Tap Ask a server admin and send them the link. They don't need an OVRWire account.
- Remove everything OVRWire added takes out only what OVRWire made.
- OVRWire never asks for Administrator, Manage Server or Manage Messages, and it never pings @everyone.
- In your server, the bot reads new messages only in the box-score channel your league picks and in the game threads it starts. It keeps the screenshots, not the text.
- Finals post in #scores, the standings stay up to date in one message in #standings, and every game gets its own thread.
- OVRWire can give players their team's role and take it away when rosters change.
- Players can look things up with /standings, /schedule and /me.

Your season
- Pick your league nights and game times. OVRWire makes a balanced schedule into those slots. Check it, then publish it.
- Only final games count. Standings, leaders, team pages and player pages update from them.
- Once a season goes live, its pages are public. Completed seasons stay public as a free archive.
What stays with your league
- OVRWire staff don't run your league or decide games. Your league's commissioner settles disputes and corrections, in public.
- OVRWire never holds league money. Dues, entry fees and prizes stay between your league and its members.
- OVRWire doesn't sell graphics.
- OVRWire is independent. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by 2K, Take-Two, the NBA or Discord.
Price
- Set up your league for free. Add teams and rosters, then invite your captains. Your league stays private.
- Your first 3 games count in private before you pay.
- $20 per league-season, tax included. You pay exactly $20.
- One price for the whole league, however many teams. About $1.67 a team in a 12-team league.
- It isn't a subscription. Nothing renews by itself.
- One $20 covers 12 weeks of regular season for NBA 2K27, from the first processed game, plus 2 extra weeks to finish games.
- Anyone in the league can chip in and pay. Paying doesn't give them any extra say.
- Changed your mind? The commissioner can refund it in the app within 7 days. No reason needed, nobody to email.
- Bring your teams and rosters from another site, free.
- Switching from another site? Your first season is $15 instead of $20. Check "We're switching from another site" before it goes live. Once per league.
